My Dad was found by Adult Protective Services “Non-responsive, his eyes were matted shut, he was lying in his own feces and a large swine (yes, a PIG) was walking in and out of the room.”

This was one of multiple reports made by APS in response to the conditions this woman put my father in.

It’s World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and I’m more than passionate about this issue.

I lost my amazing Dad to Elder Abuse June 21, 2011.

When it knocked on the door years prior to that, it invaded every single part of my life. I never thought it would happen as horrific as it did to My Dad! I never imagined he’d be a victim.

It’s out there folks! Please educate yourself and others.

Be an advocate for vulnerable individuals. Awareness is key!
